This Cookie Policy explains how PDF Care uses browser storage, regional Google Analytics consent defaults and privacy controls while providing browser-based PDF tools.
What are cookies and browser storage?
Cookies are small values a website or service can store through your browser. Websites can also use local storage and similar browser technologies for preferences and application state. These technologies are separate from the PDF document contents you process inside PDF Care tools.
How PDF Care uses browser storage
Optional analytics
When Google Analytics 4 is configured, its tag can load after the app mounts. Consent Mode controls analytics storage by region: opt-in in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; opt-out in the US and other regions.
Browser-local documents
Selected PDF contents are processed by active tools on the current device. Browser storage used for preferences does not intentionally contain your PDF document contents.
Your controls
You can choose Reject optional, reopen cookie settings later, and clear cookies or site data using your browser controls at any time.
Google Analytics cookies
When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies. These can help distinguish browser visits and sessions for analytics reporting.
PDF Care configures analytics storage as denied by default for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland and granted by default for the US and other regions. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied everywhere in PDF Care's Google consent configuration.
Regional defaults and your choice
The core PDF tools work without analytics. PDF Care currently follows the same temporary regional model as base64-to-image: EEA, UK and Switzerland use an opt-in default; US and other regions use an opt-out default. This configuration is a product setting and should not be read as a statement that privacy law is identical in every country or US state.
If analytics is available on the deployed site, you can choose Accept analytics or Essential only in the consent panel. Your explicit choice overrides the regional default and is remembered on this device.

When you choose Reject optional, PDF Care denies analytics storage, disables the configured Google tag for product telemetry and attempts to remove its first-party _ga analytics cookies where available.

Third-party service
PDF Care can use Google Analytics 4 under the regional Consent Mode configuration described above. Loading the Google Analytics script can send standard network information to Google, such as your IP address, browser information, page URL and request time. PDF Care does not use Google Analytics to inspect the contents of PDFs processed in browser-side tools.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if PDF Care changes its analytics, consent controls or browser-storage behavior. The latest version will remain available on this page.
